What is the

Super Bloom Collective?

The SB-Collective mission is to share our love of the handpan by fostering nurturing spaces that aid others in catalyzing self-sovereignty through creative expression.

WHAT DOES THIS LOOK LIKE?

Immersive Experiences
Retreats • Workshops • Concerts
Handpan Gatherings

With the handpan as our main guide, we support and facilitate events focused on creative exploration and wholeness, we seek to provide avenues for individuals to continue their personal pilgrimage towards self-love & emotional well-being. In a world where our natural way of being has become silenced by the continuous noise of a never-ending “to do list,” super blooming into life invites a pause to this pace, gifting space to creatively reframe it. Doors that opens minds to curiosity, removing fear, encouraging a deeper, more open connection with oneself.

SUPER BLOOM COLLECTIVE

What is a

Super Bloom?

a Super Bloom is a
naturally occurring event
where unique weather conditions
allow for
floral abundance
to cascade into life

A super bloom is a rare and magnificent botanical treat that only happens when a “unicorn combination of weather” occurs. It is also an expression of the shift that happens in the inner landscape, when a person embarks on their soul’s mission — spiritual transformation. The handpan stewards many on this journey, to super bloom beyond perceived limitations.

The literal bloom is a natural event that only happens when the timing is just right — water flowing in early winter months, mixed with optimal spring conditions. Still winds allow seeds time to root & germinate, and soil matrix conditions encourage an floral abundance to burst into action the following spring.

The first time I experienced the spectacle of a super bloom, was in 2016, in the ancestral home of the
Timbisha Shoshone Tribe, a place familiarized as Death Valley. As I cycle through life, I have come to realize that I super bloom every time I heal a part of myself, a part that has otherwise been “miss allocated” and wants to come home. More importantly, that I am not alone in this journey.

The 2016 Super Bloom brought me to a place where the Mojave and the Great Basin Deserts meet, AND is the place where I discovered the handpan, my curiosity to explore music returned, the Gathering’s name originated, and the location of where the inaugural 2020 Women’s Handpan Gathering was set to take place. Needless to say, the conditions were not quite right, and we, too, were paused until they were.

Warmest love to each and every member of our 2025 village AND our co-organizing teams!! Without your support & guidance our gatherings would be less fun, and likely wouldn’t exist!! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
